Art for the Non-Artist; Awakening your Artistic Self

This fun, hands-on arts course is aimed at those who love art, but who have always been afraid to dive in and explore. If you’ve always wanted to set your inner artist free, find out if you really have an artistic “self,” of if you just like to explore new things–this is the place for you.

Students will be able to try out several different artistic mediums in a low-stress, easy-going environment. Experimentation and free expression are encouraged.

Learn the basics of handling pencils, oil pastels, various paints, and papers without worrying about grading and critiques. This is a chance to let your mind and hands go wild, with other almost-artists!

The class will include several exercises designed to get ideas flowing and to banish fear of not being perfect.

Most supplies will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring random paper and any current art supplies they already own.

These classes are forming ‘freestyle’ (based on the number of people interested). If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, contact me and let me know what days/times are most convenient for you. Once we have at least 4 students, we can commence a class date.

Classes are billed at $10.00 an hour

1-hour class session: $10.00
2-hour class: $20.00
3-hour class: $25.00 (get a discount!)

No lab fee, but students are encouraged to bring extra materials.
Classes are formed once we have 4 to 6 students.
