Class: Intro to Pencil Drawing

Introduction to Pencil Drawing

Whether you’ve taken a class or two on drawing and just want to refine your skills, or if you’ve never even tried to draw a stick figure–this engaging, hands-on course will acquaint the interested student with all the things you need to know to start pencil drawing like a pro!

Students will learn about different pencil types, and when to use them, shading, cross-hatching, ellipses, shadowing, layering techniques, lead techniques, erasing techniques, and more…

Pencils and paper are provided, but students are encouraged to bring their own pencils, and a drawing pad so that they can practice at home.

This is an energetic, hands-on art class for people of all artistic levels. Classes forming on demand. Ages 17+

Next Workshop:
Three-session workshop, running from Saturday, February 21 – Saturday, March 7th, 2009.
6 – 8 pm each meeting.

Fee – $25.00, which covers materials and all three session dates.

Classes are held at my Albuquerque, New Mexico art studio. To enroll, contact me through my web form or via email.

I would be very interested in classes but my work schedule is every other week Thurs- Monday so it is hard to find one day when I could consistently show up. Is there a way to make this work?

Hi, I am looking for a pencil drawing class for a 15 year old. Your Wednesday night class sounds like just the ticket but I see the minimum age is 17. Any suggestions? Thanks.
